The congress is organised around 5 sessions:

Session 1 - Ecological monitoring, bioindication & long-term monitoring: essential action to understand the impact of global and local changes on aquatic ecosystems (functions, services, management).

Session 2 - Invasive alien species: knowledge, management, success or failure of eradication, communication, feedback, state-of-the-art tools for early detection

Session 3 - Emerging risks: growing concern, various types of pollution and over-frequentation of environments for recreational and sports activities, waste, micropollutants, modification of habitats or genes caused, vectors and pathogens

Session 4 - Restoration of ecosystems: Stakes, necessity, cost, success, natural vs. voluntary restoration, notions of compensation.

Session 5 - Global changes and biodiversity: Issues, fundamental knowledge, links between diversity and functional ecology.
